Most blogs are written by Alasdair MacLullich, who is Professor of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Alasdair has research interests in the clinical care, neuropsychology and pathophysiology of delirium. He works 50% clinically, in acute geriatric medicine and acute orthogeriatrics. He co-founded the European Delirium Association in 2006 and the Scottish Delirium Association in 2011. He is the main author of the globally-used 4AT delirium assessment tool. Alasdair was co-chair of the committee producing the 2019 Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network guideline on delirium.
